Dr. Crout relies on a well-trained, experienced support team. He strives to find employee’s with a family-centered focus, similar to his own, to care for patients. With numerous years of orthodontic experience, our team members perform tasks ranging from front office duties to detailed lab work. All of the Crout orthodontic team hails from in and around the Hurricane/Teays Valley area, with each one bringing to the practice their own unique skill and ability.

Mary Beth Mullins is the appointment secretary and assists in the front office, handling phone calls while warmly greeting and seating patients. Mary Beth graduated from Marshall University with an A.A.S in secretarial studies. She has 15 years of experience, which is evident to the patients and parents with whom she interacts. Her multi-tasking skills help keep everyone informed and on their toes! Mary Beth lives in Hurricane with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys watching and volunteering at her children’s athletic events and traveling with her sisters.

Natalie Johnson is our multitalented business office administrator. Trained at the Putnam Co. Vocational/Technical Center in dental assisting, Natalie has worked in the field for almost 6 years. When she’s not attending to administrative duties, you can find her caring for patients in the treatment bay or assisting in the records room and lab. Natalie’s dedicated, efficient approach to her work keeps the clinic running smoothly. Outside the office, Natalie is a busy wife and mother, devoting much of her free time to her 2 small children.

Miranda Adkins is the newest member of our team. She is an orthodontic assistant and works chair side adjusting wires and assisting Dr. Crout. Miranda’s lighthearted conversation helps our young and nervous patients feel more comfortable and relaxed. Miranda comes from Harts and enjoys hunting, playing basketball, and caring for her boxer Harley.

Julia Thornton is our treatment coordinator and orthodontic assistant. She lives in Eleanor with her husband and boasts 17 years in the dental and orthodontic fields. Trained in Florida, Julia greets all our new patients with a smile and has special ability to help new patients and parents understand the steps of treatment. Her down-to-earth personality is a refreshing welcome in our initial consultations and a comfort to all her chair side patients. You can also find Julia taking x-rays and assisting in the lab. On her spare time, Julia enjoys quilting, sewing, camping, and spoiling her two grandchildren!

Samantha Harrison is our lab technician and records specialist. She also has advanced training in invisalign treatment. Before starting treatment, patients will see Sam for x-rays, photos, and molds, which aid in determining a treatment plan. Having a young child of her own enables Sam to helps keep children relaxed and laughing through their initial visit. Sam maintains the lab, making retainers and preparing special models for appliances. Sam has worked in the field for 2 years. She lives in Cross Lanes with her husband and young son. On her spare time she enjoys jogging, singing, and spending time with her family.

Karen Edgell is a veteran, contributing over 30 years of orthodontic experience. Karen received extensive training while working for an orthodontist in Clarksburg for 25 years. She cares for our patients chair side, utilizing her expertise assisting Dr. Crout in banding and bonding. Her mild-mannered, cheerful demeanor combined with her experience makes her a patient favorite. Karen resides in Teays Valley with her husband and enjoys frequent trips to visit her 2 sons and their children. She also enjoys daily exercise and taking time for road trips to Morgantown in loyal support of her favorite football team, the Mountaineers!

Sherry Williamson is an orthodontic assistant. She lives in Hurricane with her husband and 2 teenage children. She has worked in the dental and orthodontic fields since 1979. Trained at the Putnam County Vocational/Technical Center, Sherry also specializes in assisting Dr. Crout in the areas of banding and bonding, as well as fitting and adjusting retainers. Sherry also has advanced training with invisalign treatment. She brings laughter and a quick wit to the bay. Outside of work, Sherry is busy with crafts, quilting, and spending time with her family. Sherry would like us to note that unlike Karen, she is Herd supporter.
