Meet Dr. Crout
Richard Crout, DDS, MS
Education and experience
Dr. Richard Crout completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics at West Virginia University. He was nominated president elect of the West Virginia Association of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2001 and served as president of the state orthodontic society from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Crout has numerous publications and enjoys spending time as an adjunct faculty member at West Virginia University School of Orthodontics. He was also a clinical assistant professor at West Virginia University department of orthodontics. Dr. Crout was awarded the prestigious recognition of being listed in the 2003–2004 "Guide to America's Top Dentists."
Continuing education
Dr. Crout strives through continuing education to search for new, innovative orthodontic developments to ensure his patients are always receiving the most advanced orthodontic treatment available. He maintains one of the most progressive offices in West Virginia. His office boasts state-of-the-art digital imagery which reduces radiation exposure to patients and eliminates chemical pollutants from X-ray developers. He is also a VIP Invisalign® certified provider.

Family life
Out of the office Dr. Crout enjoys spending time with his wife, Carmen, and their five children: Leigha, Mara, Richard, Michael, and Luke. His hobbies include skiing, hiking, fishing and off roading in the mountains of West Virginia, target and skeet shooting, golfing, and reading. Dr. Crout and his family reside in Putnam County. They take great pride in helping support their community by offering scholarships, rewarding community service, and helping with charitable fundraising efforts.
